What am I going to do with this child?

This morning Eliana came in our room around 7 am VERY grumpy! So I told her to go back to bed. She disappeared and all was quiet. I was very tired and went back to sleep... I didn't hear any noise and Eliana didn't come back into our room, so I assumed that she went back to sleep.... that was a very silly thing for me to do! So about an hour later, Eliana came back into our room COVERED in powder. To fully understand the extent of this situation, I must explain that due to Eliana's obsession with bath products and soaps, I keep all of those things in the laundry room up high. She has dumped countless bottles of shampoo etc. down the drain. So this morning, I found her chair pushed up against the washer and the following scene... The washer was full of powder as was the floor covered... not to mention Eliana...

Any suggestions? Christian said this morning (which he's said before) that she is our little Calvin. (from Calvin and Hobbes). I really don't know what to do about her "creativity" to put it nicely!
On a brighter note, here is Julia smiling away! She is SO cute!

Best Friends...

Eliana has LOTS of best friends... if I mention someone, for example, the other day I told her Sheri was going to come get her. She said, "You mean my best friend Sheri?" So last night when I was telling her stories in bed she was mentioning her best friends, so I asked her to make a list. Here it is ... don't feel left out if your not on here, b/c you will be next time I'm sure.
Makayla, Braden, Laci and Chris, Sheri and Ben, Cassie and Josh, Kate, Kaitlyn, Grandpa and Bedste, Aunt Katie, Candace and Dan. When I asked her, who else, she said, "I love EVERYONE." Too bad we weren't all a little more like that! The world would be a different place!

Music...

Eliana LOVES music. She can hear a song once, like it and then recognize it the next time she hears it. Ex. she watched part of the American Idol gives back where they had a big dance number to Please Don't Stop the Music... (see the playlist at the bottom). So we were in a store a few days later and the song came on... she said, Mommy, where's that song from, American Idol? of course she said this while shaking her booty... She's so funny! Needless to say, she needs to take dance class and I am going to enroll her once we get to AZ. Her primary teacher told me yesterday that Eliana entertains all of the primary with her singing. She remembers the words and sings VERY loudly! She definately has a better memory than I do!

2 Months

I can hardly believe that it's been 2 months since Julia was born! On Friday she had her check up and shots. She is a very long/tall little girl! When she was born they said she was 18.5 inches, but then within a few days they measured her again and she was 20 inches... so I think they just didn't stretch her out enough the first time. Anyway, on Friday she was 24.5 inches tall! She is in the 98th %! She has grown 4.5 inches in 2 months! That is crazy! She is 10 lbs, 13 0z now. It's interesting because at birth she was the same length and 6 oz. heavier than Eliana was, but at 2 months she is 2.5 inches longer than Eliana was and 2 lbs. lighter. So it will be interesting to see if this is just a different growth pattern or if they are going to be very different in stature. Only time will tell I guess. Here are a couple of pictures of Julia's beautiful blue eyes!

This is Eliana playing in her room today. I just thought this was a cute picture.

Hello Arizona

Well Christian got a job in Arizona at Frito Lay as a project manager.... so... once again April is the time to pack our bags and move on to a new adventure. We will acutally be moving the weekend of May 17th. We are very excited about the job and the opportunity and feel very blessed. It's interesting because he wasn't even looking for a new job, he was happy at his current job but this opportunity arose and we are so excited. Of course we just got comfortable here in Utah and have made lots of great friends that we will miss! We went to Arizona on Thursday to find a home to rent... we already found a tenant for our house here. We found an awesome house and fell in love with it, we are hoping it works out! It was a model home and has never been lived in. It is GORGEOUS and actually has some grass in the backyard. When we know for sure, I'll post some pictures. To all of our Utah friends, we will miss you! We've had so much fun here and are grateful for the friendships we've made!

Best Friends

Eliana has lots of best friends and Braden is one of her favorites, well of course, since he is her prince. Today when he was over playing, he asked her to dance and she absolutely loved it! It was so cute. He even twirled her! Go Braden! Here are some pictures of them playing patty cake and some pics of Braden... I love his eyes! Oh and please ignore Eliana's CRAZY hair!

Smiles... :)

Julia started smiling a couple of weeks ago but it has been hard to capture b/c she is usually looking at me and I can't get a picture and look at her. So I finally caught it in a picture! She is smiling at her Aunt Katie here who is up from Arizona for Julia's blessing tomorrow.

Bye-Bye Pacifier

So Eliana has LOVED her pacifier since day 1! She still used it for sleeping up until 3 days ago. We litterally lost them... she had 3 kicking around. We couldn't find them at bedtime so after a half hour of her, Christian and I searching, and some crying... she went to bed without it. Well, we couldn't find it the next day (Wed) either, so again she went to bed without it but with some tears still. After she went to bed I began to search again. I found 2 of the 3 and put them away... to be lost FOREVER. So yesterday again, no pacifer at bedtime, still some tears, but less. I am determined to find that last pacifier before she does! I've known I wanted to get rid of it soon, or a long time ago, but haven't had the heart considering all the transitions she's had to go through with our crazy lives. I am grateful we lost them on Tuesday! I never knew how hard it could be to get rid of a pacifier!
