Storm

Arizona certainly has some AMAZING storms. The following pictures are from yesterday. This storm lasted about 3 hours! These pictures really do the magnitude of the lightning no justice but you get the idea. It was really awesome!

Sandbox

I finally decided that we needed a sandbox. It has been a bit cooler this week and has felt really good outside. It's only been in the high 90's which is sounds crazy but is quite a relief! Eliana LOVES the sandbox even though it's a bit small!
Eliana and her "girl friend" Emily. Eliana started calling Emily her girlfriend the other day... not sure why. They are so cute together and are becoming very good friends. They will be in preschool together starting next week.

A Tooth!

Julia cut her first tooth yesterday and apparently it must have been still coming through all night last b/c she was up about EVERY hour!!! Hopefully it will finish being painful today and she'll be able to nap today and sleep well tonight!

6 Months

Today Julia is 6 months old! I can't believe it! She is doing well, just been a little under the weather with a low grade fever the last couple of days. I don't know whether it's the virus Eliana and I have had or her teeth b/c those are sure bothering her. It seems that one of her bottom teeth will come through any day now... we'll see I guess. When I got her out of the bath last night I took a few quick nakey shots of her! She thought it was pretty fun!

Eliana has been feeling a bit off this week but no outward apparent signs of illness other than a rash on her face. I have been up and down and can't seem to quite kick this nasty virus... hopefully soon!

Bethie

Eliana's favorite friend so far here in Arizona is Bethie. She is 6 years old and even though she's about 3 years older than Eliana, they get along REALLY well!! Bethie had to go back to school so we don't get to see her as much but Eliana really loves to play with her. They are so cute together. This picture is from Friday evening at a park by our house.

As for an update on our lives... We've been a little under the weather the last few days but are now on the road to recovery.

Eliana starts music class next week and preschool in two weeks! I am doing a cooperative preschool with 7 other moms in our ward. It will be T/Th 9-11 and I am really excited about it! The music class should be lots of fun too, it's called Let's Play Music. It seems like a really great program and I think Eliana is going to love it.

I am now a sunbeam teacher and the other teacher told me about a great website to help in preparing lessons. It also has a bunch of great family home evening ideas... it's http://www.sugardoodle.net/ So if you're looking for some great ideas go to this site.

What?!!! She's too little!

Julia is 5 1/2 months old now and she is starting to sit up.... but is very wobbly... but what in the world... She is starting to CRAWL???!! She isn't proficient at it but she can move forward and backward and in circles. I am not ready for this, I love the sitting up, can't go anywhere stage, but I think she just might skip it unfortunately!

Playroom

One of our favorite parts of our house in Arizona is the loft... there is a huge room that is a family room and an additional room connected that is now our playroom. The playroom now has the family room furniture as the family room is now my studio. So here is our playroom, the pics aren't that great, sorry but you get the idea. I still need to put stuff on the walls, but atleast the toys are organized.
